Holiday Park Kitchen & Lounge
The kitchen and lounge area is very spacious and user-friendly, it is the social hub of the Park. There is a large fridge for perishables, a freezer, six cooktop hobs, two microwaves, toasters and a commercial turbofan oven. Dishwashing liquid and tea towels are provided. The kitchen and lounge are cleaned and serviced every night and checked every morning.
Cooking in the park kitchen gives you an opportunity to meet fellow guests and makes holidays more affordable. There are modern table and chairs to sit at and enjoy your meals.
You can relax watching SKY TV, free view and six in-house movie channels on the 50" flat screen television in the lounge area. There are two computers available with free wi-fi, brochures of activities in the area, books and magazines to read.
BBQs & Picnic Areas
There are three new gas BBQs available for guests to use free of charge. This area is covered and is very popular in the warmer months. With plenty of chairs and tables, it is a perfect area for cooking for family get-togethers or large groups.
You can also help yourself to a range of perennial and seasonal herbs from our herb gardens situated adjacent to the barbeque area. We also have a few lettuces and silverbeet in there to add to your burgers!
There are also many picnic tables throughout the park that you are welcome to use if you want a quiet spot by yourselves.
Communal Bathroom Facilities
Our huge ablutions block upgrade has been completed. It was a long time coming but it was worth the wait. Come and enjoy our state of the art facility complete with new showers, toilets, basins and underfloor heating.
The modern unisex bathroom facilities are equipped to handle the crowds when busy and give you all the space you want when it's quiet. This enables families with children to use it together. For smaller children, there is a spacious Family Room which has a shower over a small bath, toilet, hand basin and change table.
There is also a wheelchair bathroom that has a shower, toilet, hand basin, mirror and non-slip matting.
All our bathroom facilities are cleaned every morning and cleaned and serviced at night.
Towels are provided for guests staying in all accommodation (this does not include camping and campervan / RV sites).
Laundry Facilities
There are four washing machines and three clothes dryers, the machines are coin operated and are $4 each. You can bring you own laundry powder or purchase at reception for $2. There is a tub available for soaking and rinsing. If you are attending a special event and need to iron your outfit there is an iron and ironing board available free of charge in the laundry. There are more iron and ironing boards available on request. There are two clothes lines for sustainable drying, clothes pegs are at reception.
Recycling Facilities & Dump Station
Our park is ISO 9001 accredited so looking after the environment is a high priority for us. There are many recycling bins and stations throughout the resort which are regularly emptied.
There are also three dump stations on site to empty waste and grey waste from campervans.
Our main station has recently received a total overhaul with all new panels and ports for different recycling materials, making it easier than ever to care for the environment. The new enclosed design even reduces noise pollution for the comfort of our guests.
Children's Entertainment
One of the greatest benefits of staying with us is that there is an abundance of space for your children to play and many other children to play with. They can enjoy;
- Our Big Bounce Air Pad is a great activity for the children to burn off all their energy! It is big, bright and lot's of FUN and is located near the cabins and motel units
- The Hot Pools with a giant dragon slide & two curved racing slides, warm water playground with a new tipping bucket feature, 2 hot pools, 2 fresh water spas and chlorinated kids pool they will be well entertained,12 indoor private pools
- Cartoon character themed playground with swing, slide, fireman's pole and trampoline
- Kicking a ball around
- Asphalt for supervised biking/scootering
Tesla Destination Charger
Two Tesla car chargers are available on site. We only charge $5 per use so there is no reason not to add Taupo to your tour of the North Island in your sleek Tesla.
Our chargers are currently running on single phase, 20 Amps. We will be upgrading them to three phase, 32 Amps in the near future.
