The Great Lake Ukulele Variety Show

The Nukes will be joined on this Great Lake ukulele Variety Show by a combined ukulele orchestra made from local Primary schools (Hilltop, Taupo, Tauhara and Wairakei) and the show will feature all the fun songs that have made the Nukes such an entertaining group over the last 10 years.

Taupo performing arts school Act2 have also been engaged to dramatize some of the hilarious pieces being performed on the night.

Expect something for the whole family, with lots of audience participation plus Kala ukulele and CD giveaways on the night!

The Nukes from West Auckland are far more than a ukulele band. They are NZ’s original ukulele trio and have toured Aotearoa countless times since their creation in 2008. Part vaudeville, part rat-pack, part musical car crash, this talented trio deliver an engaging mix of humour and originality that audiences of all ages will love.

The innocent little uke is the instrument of choice and folk will be staggered by what they are able achieve with it. Great song writing, musicianship and 3-part harmony combine to create a truly memorable entertaining experience.
