Taupo DeBretts has come out on top at HAPNZ Conference
Taupo DeBretts has collected first prize for the Jasons SMART Business Award, and Highly Commended in the HAPNZ Innovation Award.
Awards were handed out over the AA Traveller Awards Dinner in the Wairau & Awatere Halls at Marlborough Conference Centre.
Taupo DeBretts innovations include:
- Establishing an Advisory Board consisting of leaders with different disciplines
- Introducing cloud-based property management system NewBook - Allowing the guest to choose their room(s) on-site
- Appointed a purchasing officer, this has reduced suppliers by 75% and 18% purchasing pricing across all transactions.
- Implemented Live Chat, resulting in 2500 chats per month.
- Contracted a 24/7 call centre, resulting in a reduction in missed calls from 650 per month to 0
- Integrated SMS on website PMS, and POS, ensuring better communication and remarketing.
- Developed a new responsive website, 1 Million page impressions over the last year.
- Employed two mandarin speaking team members, integrating Chinese media platforms Weibo and Wechat
- Taken advantage of the new augmented reality application Layar, this allows visitors to interact with print media (maps, brochures and business cards) to boost their onsite experience through geographic requirement. Check out our video!
- Installation of geothermal heating in accommodation, allowing a subsequent decrease in external energy consumption.
- Installed a Big Bounce Air Pad water playground tipping bucket and installed LED colour changing night lighting around the holiday park and thermal complex - bringing the WOW factor
- Free WiFi to all guests who stay at Taupo DeBretts.
